I stretched a stamp

Hello crafty friends, it`s Tina here.

Today I want to show you, how I stretched a stamp from the beautiful Pattern Hearts & Flowers set. I love that sentiment in the frame and I thought how great would it be to have three separated stamps. I decided to cut out the sentiment and little ornament with my craft knife. It was the first time I cut the stamp and I felt quite guilty while doing it, but then I enjoyed that new images so much and the guilt was gone. I was very careful, so all the images stamp perfectly and I can still use it in the way it was supposed. And below you can see how I stretched my `new` stamps.

Here I used the sentiment and I made a `tuck` on the front using the circle die from Ticket Frame die set and Tami`s instructions that you can find here. I love that the flower from the Pattern Hearts & Flowers set fits perfectly that circle die.

Then it was turn for the lovely frame.... Because of the hole, you have to be carefull when placing the stamp on your acrylic block. I stamped on a waist paper fisrt to make sure that the lines are perfectly straight and aligned.

And finaly the sweet little ornament.... Button is exactly the same pink collor as stamped image, but I just couldn`t capture it nicely.

I heartly recomend you join the Stretch Your Stamps online class, you will get plenty of inspiration how to use your stamps at its best.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,

You are such a BRAVE gal! I still have not found the courage to CUT any of my stamps!! I cut an old one a LONG time back and ended up ruining it, so now I'll probably never try again.

Kind of like ripping paper....I never rip my paper...seems far to expensive and nice to tear it...! I know it all for looks, but it's just one of the things..I can't seem to bring myself to do!!

:) Keep sharing...loved the cards!!

Tina, what a fantastic idea! I love all 3 of your cards, but the middle one is ingenious! Well done! I have cut apart sentiments before, but never to this extent....you've given me the courage to try it!

Bravo, Tina :) I have cut a sentiment apart but even then, I was almost holding my breath - LOL.

Beautiful cards, Tina! Love how you added the twine to the "tuck" flap :)

I've been enjoying your Hero Arts blog for a while now but I don't think I've ever left a comment before. Your cards are great! I've never had the courage to cut a stamp even though I've read about doing it for one reason or another. I might just have to look at some of my stamps and see if I can bring myself to experiment like this. You did a great job stretching that one stamp!

Oh. My. Goodness. You turned that Ledger stamp upside down, allowing that blank space to be used for a sentiment! How fabulous is that?! I totally love this, and can't wait to try it – thanks so much for the inspiration !

I love your projects! I would never have thought of this but it's a great idea to give them a new life. Like getting new stamps for free. I am tempted to try it.
